Bits & Pieces Garden Project
This Garden is my own project built with recycled materials. The garden is No-dig, uses B2E principals and is still expanding. Many discarded plants and materials from landscaping projects have found a home here.
Space and Cost Saving Project
A space and cost saving garden build with beds that follow the shape of the boundary in order to have more growing space. The beds were made cost effectively using organically treated planks. The boat seat was also a nice project.
Centrepiece ‘Collective’ Garden
A feature garden which is also a ‘Collective’ garden. This bed is built into a slope and designed as a centre piece. The bed contains the layers of a collective garden and has been IMO treated. Most of the surrounding plants have been relocated to form a woodland garden in future years.
B2E Trial Garden
The starting trial of the No-dig method was with Back to Eden gardening. It was layered with loose soil, chicken manure and woodchip. One of the major issues with this trial was the weed seed already contained in the soil which is now avoided in my later projects.
Branch Beds
These beds were made using local felled trees. The aim was to recycle the wood into beds and terrace the beds with surrounding woodchip paths. The look beautiful and were carefully built for the owner.
Recycled Brick Garden
After knocking down some out buildings we ended up with piles of bricks, we used some of them to make these collective garden beds by removing the cement and placing them without cement. The gardens were layered with sub-weed soil, compost and woodchip.
